Eric Church postpones SiriusXM Chief’s livestream due to Hurricane Helene

The show has been pushed back to November

Eric Church has postponed his one-night-only full band show at Chief’s in Nashville due to Hurricane Helene. While Nashville faced heavy rain and minor flooding after the storm hit landfall, it devastated portions of North Carolina, South Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Church, a North Carolina native, says he wants to focus on helping those in need rather than perform a concert at his entertainment complex.

“I’m devastated by the destruction in the mountains of western North Carolina. These are our family members, friends, and neighbors. The community we live in part of the year still has people stranded and desperate for extraction. The whole area is in dire need of help. Anyone who knows anything about me knows what North Carolina and specifically this area in the mountains means to me personally as well as creatively,” Church shares in a social media statement.

“While we’re still gauging the extent of destruction and harm, our hearts remain with the people and our focus is on helping them. For now, we’re postponing our SiriusXM Outsiders Radio show live event at Chief’s scheduled for Monday, Sept. 30 to Tuesday, November 19.

For those asking how to help now, the Red Cross are boots on the ground: http://www.redcross.org/ericchurch

“To all the families and first responders, you are in our prayers and we are doing everything we can to get you the help you need now.”

The exclusive-for-listeners full-band show will feature Church on the stage of the Neon Steeple within Chief’s, harkening back to the in-demand club shows that defined the early days of Church’s career. Church previously took to the Neon Steeple stage for a series of 19 solo acoustic To Beat the Devil residency shows, making this one-night-only event the first time he will play the venue with a full band.

The performance will celebrate the second anniversary of Church’s Outsiders Radio airing full-time on SiriusXM. The channel, curated by Church, showcases the country star’s extensive catalog of nearly two decades of music and his favorite music and influences featuring collaborations and recordings with friends, behind-the-scenes stories, live performances and more.
