Famed Nashville producer Tony Brown, who has produced George Strait, Reba McEntire and Vince Gill, has been arrested for domestic assault after allegedly hitting his wife, Jamie Brown, in their home on Monday (Feb 22nd) night.
According to Nashville’s News Channel 5, Brown’s wife called police to report that her husband had assaulted her. She told them they had argued over some ideas she had for a photo shoot. Jamie told police that her husband accused her ideas as being “slutty” and allegedly slapped her in the face, pushed her to the ground and grabbed her hair to drag her.
Jamie was able to get away and lock her and her dog in a car where she called 911. When police arrived, Tony was sitting on the front steps of the home where he was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault after investigators saw several marks on Jamie’s body and visible signs her hair had been pulled.
Brown, who recently produced Cyndi Lauper’s country album, was charged with the same charge in 2013. The pair had divorced and remarried since.
