Back to the Beginning, the final performance of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, will be livestreamed via a special website. Fans globally can witness Ozzy Osbourne play his own set before joining with the original Black Sabbath โ Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward โ to play for the first time in 20 years on July 5th at Villa Park.
The sold out show will feature sets from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice In Chains, Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Mastodon.
The all-day event will also feature a supergroup of musicians. Artists announced so far include Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan & Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E. Lee, KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sleep Token II (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and Zakk Wylde.
In order for Ozzy fans around the world to experience this monumental event, the livestream will be delayed 2 hours from the in-arena start time.
The stream will begin at 3 pm BST, 10 am EDT, 7 am PDT with access 30 minutes before the start.
The livestream will cost $29.99 with VOD replay access through July 7th. Fans can bundle the stream with a Back to the Beginning Exclusive Black Livestream T-Shirt featuring a photo of Black Sabbath, Henry, the event date, venue and Back to the Beginning printed on the front and Made In Birmingham printed on the back of the T-Shirt. The shirt is only available to livestream viewers.
Osbourne, who has suffered from several ailments, including Parkinson’s, and has not performed a full show since 2018, confirms his involvement in Sabbath’s final bow will be limited.
“I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable,” Osbourne says on his SiriusXM show, Ozzy Speaks. “I am trying to get back on my feet. When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but I’m not dead. I’m still actively doing things.”
Formed in Birmingham in 1968 and going on to become one of the most successful metal bands of all time, Black Sabbath has sold over 75 million albums worldwide across their legendary career. Setting the blueprint for the many routes heavy metal took, Black Sabbathโs influence and importance is as vital today as it was in the early 1970s.
Ozzyโs Final Bow & Black Sabbathโs last time on stage together, BACK TO THE BEGINNING will be streamed worldwide on 5th July! The full set will be available to watch on demand for 48 hours after the show.
