Five concerts worth catching in Las Vegas

When we think of Las Vegas, gambling is usually the first thing that springs to mind. However, while the strip is home to an array of impressive casinos, some of the world’s greatest musicians descend on Sin City to play shows. If you’re heading to Las Vegas in the coming months and want to see a spectacle, here are some of the best concerts worth catching.

Jonas Brothers

Formed in 2005, the Jonas Brothers are an American band who came to prominence thanks to their appearances on the Disney Channel. Since then, the three brothers (Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas) have gone on to sell over 17 million albums worldwide, alongside earning a string of hits, including the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Sucker.” The Jonas Brothers bring their Remember This tour to Las Vegas for a two-night stint at the Park Theater on August 20th-21st.

Harry Styles

Finding fame in One Direction, Harry Styles has gone on to carve out a successful solo career. With his two studio albums (Harry Styles and Fine Line) topping the Billboard 200 chart and his insanely catchy “Watermelon Sugar” hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Styles returns to Las Vegas with his Love on Tour. Whether you’re a long-term Directioner or solely a fan of Styles, you must grab tickets to his show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on September 4th.

Barry Manilow

Las Vegas really does welcome some of the planet’s most recognizable music stars like Barry Manilow. Taking residency at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Manilow has a string of shows in Sin City, commencing on September 16th through to December 4th. Manilow’s career has spanned over 50 years, with some of his biggest hits including “Mandy,” “Could It Be Magic,” and “Can’t Smile Without You.” To date, Manilow has sold over 85 million records worldwide, cementing his place as one of the planet’s biggest-selling artists.

Usher

For the R&B lovers heading to Las Vegas from July onwards, no trip is complete without a visit to see Usher. The American singer-songwriter brings his Vegas residency to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, starting July 16th. With an astounding nine Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles under his belt, and a further 18 singles hitting the Top 10, you can be guaranteed that his show will be filled with hit, after hit.

Katy Perry

Calling all KatyCats! This December sees the pop icon Katy Perry head to Vegas with her highly anticipated residency Play. Kicking off on December 29th at the new Resorts World casino, the Roar hitmaker follows in the footsteps of her pop contemporaries, including Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga in putting on what’s sure to be a spectacle for the eyes. Expect to hear hits like “I Kissed a Girl,” “California Gurls,” and the aptly titled “Waking Up in Vegas.” Before heading to the new casino, you may want to check out www.royalvegascasino.com and play on all your favorite games before trying them out in person in Vegas.

Alongside hitting the casinos, enjoying the boisterous nightlife, and even taking a trip to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas welcomes some of the most popular musicians in the world. To avoid disappointment, make sure you book your tickets well in advance!
