Access All Areas: Unlocked features remixes & more
Fresh off the release of their highly-anticipated debut album Access All Areas last week, London-based girl group Flo has treated fans to a special mini-deluxe edition Access All Areas: Unlocked. The release sees Flo collaborate with some of the hottest names in R&B & rap to reimagine multiple album tracks. R&B girl group Chloe and Halle Bailey infuse their signature harmonies into fan-favorite “Soft,” while Kehlani brings her unmistakable edge to “IWH2BMX.” Bree Runway adds a bold touch to “Nocturnal” and Dixson delivers a fresh perspective on “Bending My Rules.” These remixes are accompanied by the much-lauded Vevo live performance of “Bending My Rules.”
Reflected in the intro narrated by Cynthia Erivo, Flo’s debut album is a bold statement that cements their arrival with unapologetic confidence. Executive produced by MNEK, the 16-track album effortlessly blends rich tones of R&B and soul with pitched-up original samples and futuristic production to create a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. With contagious hooks, tight harmonies and candid, relatable lyricism, Access All Areas serves as a manifesto for the group, highlighting their no-holds-barred approach to songwriting and life. The album delves deep into the themes of love, sisterhood and navigating life as three young Black women.
To celebrate the release of Access All Areas on Friday, Flo dropped the official music video for new single “In My Bag” featuring GloRilla. Directed by Troy Roscoe and choreographed by Sean Bankhead, the music video follows Flo and GloRilla as they conduct a heist with a twist. “In My Bag” is an energized humble brag, pairing bass-heavy rhythms with irresistibly sugared vocal stacks.
Access All Areas marks Flo’s first project since 2023’s surprise fan EP 3 of Us and 2022’s debut EP The Lead. It continues to build on the success of the past couple of years, which has seen them become the first group to ever win both the BRITs Rising Star Award and the BBC Sound Poll in the same year. The group has since gone on to earn endorsements from the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Sza, Victoria Monet, Kelly Rowland, Ariana Grande, and more.
Fresh from supporting Kehlani on their Crash World Tour, which saw FLO play arenas across North America, Flo has also announced their 2025 Access All Areas UK and Europe tour. Kicking off in Copenhagen on March 2nd, the tour marks their biggest to date and will see them play shows in Paris, Stockholm and the UK, including a headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
