King Princess will be special guest

Florence + the Machine have added a second Melbourne show to heir Dance Fever Tour run in Australia. The new show will be on Thursday, March 9th at the Melbourne Rod Laver Arena.

Frontier Members can access presale tickets for this new Melbourne show starting Monday, May 16th at 11 am AEST ahead of the general public on sale Wednesday, May 18th at 10 am AEST via Ticketmaster.

The Dance Fever Tour will now play six arena shows kicking off at RAC Arena in Perth on Saturday, March 4; Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Wednesday, March 8th and Thursday, March 9th; Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on Monday, March 13; Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday, March 17th; and Auckland’s Spark Arena on Tuesday, March 21st.

The group is touring in support of its fifth studio album, Dance Fever, due May 13th via UMG. The album is produced by Florence Welch, Jack Antonoff and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals. The album was recorded predominantly in London over the course of the pandemic in anticipation of the world’s reopening.

Florence + The Machine last toured Australia and New Zealand in 2019 to much acclaim, wowing audiences with breathtaking vocals, spellbinding choreography and moments of aural captivation that can only be experienced live. Australia was one of the first countries outside the UK to adopt Florence + The Machine as their own, landing a spot in the line-up at Laneway Festival in 2010. With a huge fan base down under, the band has sold over one million albums in Australia and boasting 412 million Australian streams.

American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist King Princess (aka Mikaela Straus) will open at each of the Australian and New Zealand shows. Her newest album is due later this year.

The group will launch the Dance Fever Tour in North America this fall with support from Arlo Parks, Sam Fender, King Princess, Yves Tumor, Japanese Breakfast and Wet Leg will join as support on select dates.
