Dave Grohl releases exciting message to fans
Dave Grohl is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Foo Fighters in 2020. The founder, drummer and frontman shares his excitement for a huge upcoming year.

Grohl was the only member on the band’s debut self-titled album released in 1995. The project was a one-man band showcase of songs by Grohl following Nirvana’s dissolution after Kurt Cobain’s death the previous year. Before its release, Grohl recruited a band to showcase the songs live after the demos began circulating throughout the industry with label interest.
The band has recorded nine studio albums and docu-series Sonic Highways throughout its 25 year career. In 2015, Grohl announced an indefinite hiatus, and released a mockumentary of Grohl pursuing a solo EDM career with 98 Degrees’ Nick Lachay replacing him on vocals, addressing growing rumors that the band was breaking up. “For the millionth time, we’re not breaking up. And nobody’s going fucking solo!” the video ended.
In 2017, the band returned with its ninth studio album, Concrete And Gold. It was the group’s second album to hit No. 1 in the U.S. and the band’s biggest ever first week numbers outside its home country.
