SiriusXM has announced that it will exclusively broadcast Foo Fighters’ concert on Friday, December 5th from Irving Plaza in New York City celebrating the final episode of the band’s Sonic Highways HBO docu-series.
The just-announced concert will air live on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation, channel 36, on Friday, December 5th at 10 pm ET via satellite and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com. Additionally, Howard Stern’s exclusive SiriusXM channel Howard 101 will present encore broadcasts of the concert on Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th at 7 pm and 10 pm ET.
Foo Fighters recently took over SiriusXM’s Lithium, channel 34, prior to the release of Sonic Highways, for “Foo Fighters Radio.”
Tickets for the all ages concert are $20 and are limited to two per person. They go on sale December 5th at 5 pm at the Irving Plaza Box Office only. SiriusXM subscribers can enter for the chance to win a pair of tickets to the concert through December 3rd at 1:30 pm ET.
Doors open at 7 with a screening of Sonic Highways: New York City at 9 pm. Dave Grohl and Co. will take the stage at 10 pm.
