Three rescheduled dates have been announced

Foo Fighters have postponed their 25th anniversary 2020 Van Tour from April to December in light of the coronavirus worldwide pandemic. The trek will see Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel and Pat Smear revisit some of the same cities they hit in a Dodge van during their first-ever outing as the group in 1995. It was scheduled to kick off April 12th in Phoenix, but has now been pushed to December.

“Hi, this is Dave. Remember me? The guy who wouldn’t even postpone a show when my goddamn leg was falling off?” Grohl shares in a statement. “Well… playing a gig with a sock full of broken bones is one thing, but playing a show when YOUR health and safety is in jeopardy is another…

“We fuckin’ love you guys. So let’s do this right and rain check shit. The album is done, and it’s fuckin’ killer. The lights and stage are in the trucks, ready to go. The SECOND we are given the go ahead, we’ll come tear shit up like we always do. Promise.

“Now go wash your hands.”

Three of the five April dates have been rescheduled as of press time. Wichita and Knoxville, along with all originally scheduled May stops, are forthcoming.

Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee will also be on the trek. Each stop was to include a sneak peek at an excerpt from Grohl’s brand new documentary What Drives Us, but no word on if that will still be happening.
