Foster the People releases exhilarating spin on ‘See You in the Afterlife’

The group teams with producer MPH for the song

Foster The People has joined forces with fast-rising UKG/Bassline producer MPH for the exhilarating โ€œSee You In the Afterlife (MPH Remix), via Atlantic Records. The new rendition of this standout track fuses the bandโ€™s genre-bending sound with MPHโ€™s new wave of UK garage and house. This remix collaboration is a bold statement on the bandโ€™s evolving identity. As they continue to fuse shimmering synths with introspective lyrics, Foster The People prove theyโ€™re at the forefront of the dance-alternative crossover. The remix was a staple element of their afterparty DJ sets after a select number of Paradise State of Mind Tour dates this past spring, and continues to energize the dance floor as they approach a few different summer afterparties.

The original version of โ€œSee You In The Afterlifeโ€ is one of the many highlights found on Foster The Peopleโ€™s acclaimed new album, Paradise State of Mind. The track was recently joined by a hauntingly powerful official double-feature music video alongside a second standout track from the album, โ€œFeed Me.โ€ The โ€œSee You In The Afterlife/Feed Meโ€ video was directed by Weird Life Filmsโ€™ Laura Gordon, Jackson James and Ryan Ohm, and co-stars Foster The People frontman Mark Foster alongside his triple Emmy Award-winning wife, Julia Garner (Ozark, The Fantastic Four: First Steps) as themselves.

Produced by Foster and bandmate Isom Innis with contributions from Paul Epworth, Jack Peรฑate, Chrome Sparks, and Asa Taccone at studios in London and Los Angeles (including East West Studiosโ€™ famed Studio Three, the room where The Beach Boys recorded Pet Sounds), the album further includes such acclaimed tracks as โ€œChasing Low Vibrations,โ€ โ€œTake Me Backโ€œ and the cosmically catchy first single, โ€œLost In Space.โ€

Foster The People โ€“ who recently wrapped the hugely successful North American leg of their ongoing Paradise State of Mind Tour โ€“ will continue to celebrate Paradise State of Mind with a number of upcoming US festival appearances, including highly anticipated sets at Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.

Foster The People will kick off their eagerly awaited European leg of their Paradise State of Mind Tour on June 25th at Zagreb, Croatiaโ€™s INmusic Festival which runs through mid-July.
