French Montana releases ‘Handstand’ video featuring Doja Cat & Saweetie

Track appears on They Got Amnesia

After shaking the game, French Montana unleashes the big screen-worthy music video for his new single “Handstand” featuring Doja Cat & Saweetie. It remains a standout from his critically acclaimed new album, They Got Amnesia, out now via Epic Records/Bad Boy Entertainment.

French, Doja Cat, and Saweetie have all done some crazy visuals, but this might just be the craziest yet! This time around, these three titans meet in a post-apocalyptic future. Doja Cat delivers the hook clad in a metal bikini top outfitted with machine guns like a 21st Century Barbarella. French pulls up right between warring factions with infectious ironclad bars, while Saweetie raps in front of a city in flames. You need to see it to believe it.

“Handstand” has posted up close to seven million streams since the record’s arrival in November and ignites an instantly twerkable refrain over slick production. The two hottest female MCs in the game tag team the beat with raunchy and raucous bars before French pulls up with a hypnotic verse of his own. In addition, just last week “Handstand” was the most-added record at Urban radio in the US.

They Got Amnesia, which is executive produced by Hitmaka and Rick Steele, has already generated hundreds of millions of streams and received widespread critical acclaim. Montana’s most personal album to date, the album opens in the literal “ICU,” and takes listeners on a journey through redemption, detailing his story through recovery over the past several years. The record kicks into high gear with the head-nodding “How You King.” Elsewhere, “Touch The Sky” with John Legend & Rick Ross reaches the heavens with a fluttering refrain and bossed-up rhymes from Rozay. Then, there’s “Push Start,” which shines with a sizzling guest spot from Coi Leray. Serving up a sequel to his 2016 double-platinum smash “Lockjaw,” he re-teams with Kodak Black for the red hot “Mopstick.” Then, there’s “Stuck In The Jungle” with Pop Smoke & Lil Durk. French links back up with the late Pop Smoke and Lil Durk for a bold banger punctuated by a catchy lyrical crossfire. The whole project concludes with the soulful and reflective “Losing Weight.” In the end, the album delivers a message to fans to appreciate life and everything that comes along with it.

Recently, Montana uncovered the music video for “Bag Season” featuring Lil Tjay. Additionally, he contributed “If I Go Down” to the film National Champions, which arrives in theaters on December 10th.

Expanding his influence yet again, he recently announced his new collaboration with legendary perfumer Kilian Hennessy for a limited edition spin on Angels’ Share from Kilian Paris. French Montana worked with Kilian on all creative elements, giving the product a truly unique spin. The limited edition Angels’ Share by Kilian – French Montana bottle has on its cap a gold-colored disk, reminiscent of an LP record, with engraved chains, nodding to Montana’s necklaces. The fragrance is currently available for purchase at sephora.com and bykilian.com. Additionally, Montana launched his second collaboration with luxury apparel brand Ethika. The first of two pairs of limited edition boxer underwear is out now, with the second set to come in February. Both designs incorporate lyrics and themes found on They Got Amnesia and will be available for purchase at ethika.com.
