A public celebration is set at the Grand Ole Opry House
Funeral arrangements have been set for Little Jimmy Dickens, the Grand Ole Opry star who died Friday (Jan 2nd) at the age of 94 from cardiac arrest stemming from a stroke on Christmas Day.
Nashville’s The Tennessean reports that a public visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8 pm at Woodlawn Roesche-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 660 Thompson Lane in Nashville.
As expected, a public Celebration Of Life service is scheduled for Thursday at 11 am at the Grand Ole Opry House at 2804 Opryland Drive in Nashville.
Both remembrance events are open to friends, family and the public. Many country stars are expected to be in attendance.
A moment of silence, followed by a final Opry standing ovation honoring the four foot, eleven inch Dickens, was held during Saturday’s (Jan 3rd) Grand Ole Opry performance.
