Funko releasing Black Sabbath album Pop vinyl

Set will be available after Christmas

Funko is celebrating Black Sabbath’s 50th anniversary by releasing a Funko Pop! Albums: Black Sabbath vinyl figure featuring the cover of their 1970 self-titled debut album. The package includes a Pop! vinyl of model Louisa Livingstoneon draped in a black robe on the cover, along with a replica of the Black Sabbath cover album. The set will be available December 26th via Amazon and other outlets.

This is the second in the Funko Pop! Albums series that’s dedicated to preserving classic albums in collectible form. The first is dedicated to Notorious B.I.G. featuring a collectible Biggie Smalls Pop! vinyl inside a replica of the Ready to Die cover album. It comes out this week.

It was announced at London’s Toy Fair earlier this year that G-Eazy, Slipknot, ZZ Top, Lil Wayne, Shania Twain, Aerosmith, Slayer, Motorhead, Willie Nelson, Salt N Pepa, Weezer, James Brown, Ice Cube, Tupac, Backstreet Boys, Iron Maiden, Duran Duran, Migos and Def Leppard were the musicians to be immortalized with Funko Pop figures in 2020.

Other stars who have received the vinyl Pop figure treatment include Guns N Roses, Lemmy, Metallica, Motley Crue, Johnny Cash, Rush, Kiss, The Police, NYSYNC, Queen, Mariah Carey and dozens of others.

Sabbath recently reissued Paranoid: Super Deluxe Edition featuring the original album, in addition to a rare 1974 Quad Mix of the album folded down to stereo, plus two concerts from 1970, from Montreux and Brussels, that are pressed on vinyl for the first time. The five LP set comes with a hardbound book with extensive liner notes featuring interviews with all four band members, rare photos, and memorabilia, a poster, as well as a replica of the tour book sold during the Paranoid tour.
