Rising girl group G.R.L has announced the release of their debut self-titled EP, set for release July 29th on Kemosabe Records/RCA Records. The EP features their current single “Ugly Heart” with a video that has blown up online with over 2.5 million views in less than a week.
Their new single “Ugly Heart” available now at all digital retailers is produced by hit makers Dr. Luke and Cirkut, much of the same team who produced G.R.L.’s debut EP for Dr. Luke’s record label Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. “Ugly Heart” was written by Ryan Baharloo, Ester Dean, Lukasz Gottwald, John Charles Monds and Henry Walter.
In addition to “Ugly Heart,” the G.R.L. EP features new tracks “Rewind,” “Don’t Talk About Love” and “Girls Are Always Right,” along with “Show Me What You Got” which was originally released as part of the “Now 49: That’s What I Call Music” compilation.
Described by People Magazine as “the sexy new girl-group,” rising stars G.R.L. stepped out on their own with the release of “Ugly Heart” following the blockbuster success in their co-starring role on “Wild Wild Love” with Pitbull. Idolator raves about their new single “Ugly Heart” calling it “brilliant” and declares “the brightest new girl band in pop could have their own breakout hit in the not-too-distant future with this irresistible anthem.” Time Magazine concurs: “the rising girl group go for the jugular with a stampeding new single” and Perez Hilton calls the track “Awesome” and writes “It’s official. We love love love G.R.L.!”
