Garfunkel & Garfunkel shares ‘Blue Moon’

The father & son are teasing their forthcoming album

Multiple Grammy winner Art Garfunkel & his son, Art Garfunkel Jr., release “Blue Moon,” the second track from their highly anticipated Garfunkel & Garfunkel upcoming album, Father And Son, arriving November 8th via BMG Nashville in partnership with Telamo, and featuring some of the most acclaimed titles from the last century. Capturing the bittersweet essence of longing and hope with its haunting melody and poignant lyrics, the song tells the story of a solitary heart searching for love. The pair’s emotive vocals bring a deep sense of yearning to each note, transforming the melancholic theme into a timeless classic with their ethereal and cinematic dreamlike production.

“This song [‘Blue Moon’] uniquely captures our connection,” shares Art.

“A classic tune [‘Blue Moon’] right out of the American Songbook and the opener for our album that was a must-have for me and my dad,” Art Jr. continues. “It really brings us closer together.“

Available now, this latest release by Garfunkel & Garfunkel follows their first preview into the project, the heartfelt interpretation of the 80’s hit “Time After Time.” The touching recreation seamlessly blended Art’s signature warmth with his son’s youthful energy. The duo’s version is both a nod to the original’s emotional depth and a testament to their connection. Their harmonies and subtle reinterpretation breathe new life into the beloved tune, making it a moving tribute to the timelessness of the song.

Produced by Felix Gauder, Father And Son will feature even more timeless hits spanning almost a century. An extremely personal selection, the project boasts longtime favorites the duo have been listening to together for as long as they can remember. The result is a beautiful testament to the unique bond between “father and son” and a lavishly arranged musical journey through different genres, covering much of the 20th century.
