Brooks adds second show per request of Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe
At the request of Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, Garth Brooks has added a second concert in Regina, SK. The second concert will be Friday, August 9th at 7 pm in Mosaic Stadium. Everyone that was not able to get tickets for the first concert will now have the opportunity to see Garth Brooks.
This will be Brooks’ first time headlining a concert in Regina, SK and the first ever country concert event at Mosaic Stadium.
The first concert sold out in 59 minutes and set an all time attendance record for Mosaic Stadium. It will be Saturday, August 10th at 7:00 PM.
Tickets for the second concert will be on sale Friday, June 14th at 10 am CST. It will be in-the-round staging. There will be an eight ticket limit per purchase. Tickets can only be purchased at ticketmaster.ca/garthbrooks or Ticketmaster Express (855) 985-5500. Please note there will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on June 14th.
Tickets will cost $79.71 plus a $3.99 GST, plus a $4 facility fee and then a $7.25 service charge for a total of $94.95.
Brooks has broken a record at every stop on the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour. The county star will hit 10-12 cities per year for three years. The trek follows his three year North American arena run with wife Trisha Yearwood that smashed records previously held by himself, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The tour played 79 cities, 390 concerts with over 100,000 tickets sold in over 20 cities. The tour sold over 6.3 million tickets, making it the biggest North American tour in history and the biggest American tour in the world.
Brooks is set to release his new single, “Dive Bar,” with Blake Shelton to country radio on Tuesday, June 18th. The pair will perform the song live for the first time at Brooks’ Boise, ID’s Albertsons Stadium show on July 19th. Brooks co-wrote the tune with Mitch Rossell and Bryan Kennedy. “Dive Bar” is taken from his forthcoming studio album Fun, in which a release date has yet to be announced, but is expected sometime later this year.
Brooks is also planning to film his first official music video in ten years for the track. “I think we have to [make a music video]!” he tells Nancy O’Dell. “I don’t know when the last time we did a country music video was, but you don’t want to pass this opportunity up. It’s going to be fun.”
