Garth Brooks announces Dive Bar Tour

Brooks will perform in dive bars in seven cities this summer

Garth Brooks is promoting his new single “Dive Bar” with a Dive Bar Tour this summer. The seven city tour kicks off Monday, July 15th in Chicago with the venue to be announced during the PM drive time Monday (July 8th) on Chicago country radio. Brooks made the announcement during Dive Bar Day on a special Sunday edition of his Facebook Live Series Inside Studio G.

“Let’s have fun with a summer anthem. This is going to be a blast,” Brooks states. “This is a great partnership with Seagrams — I can’t think you enough for stepping up to promote this thing all summer long with country radio, the home of us. I just love getting to be a part of it and I love hearing country music on country radio.”

Tickets for each stop on the Dive Bar Tour will be available exclusively via country radio in each town. The other dates will be announced via country radio, but at a later date.

Seagrams 7 is partnering with Brooks on the tour, but is not sponsoring the trek. Brooks will be bringing a scaled down version of his band without any backup singers.

“Dive Bar” is Brooks’ latest single and features Blake Shelton. Shelton has not been announced to perform at any of the Dive Bar Tour dates. “Dive Bar” is currently available only via country radio until Amazon Prime Day on July 15th when it will be available at Amazon Music. A video is also planned for release this summer.

The song has the highest debut in seven years landing at No. 23 on Mediabase, and the second highest debut on Billboard of 2019 at No. 16. “Dive Bar” is taken from Brooks’ forthcoming studio album Fun, and is his first musical collaboration with Shelton, whose current hit, “God’s Country,” lands at No. 1 this week.

Brooks and Shelton are set to perform the song live for the first time at a sold out show in Boise, ID on July 19th, at a stop on the monumental The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour.
