Garth Brooks drops timely ‘We Belong To Each Other’

Brooks unites the world with R&B flavored track

Garth Brooks is continuing his trend of sharing new music with the release of “We Belong To Each Other.” The timely new single unites the world through love without being preachy.

“We belong to each other / We are sister and brother / Born to love one another,” the chorus reads.

“Music is the greatest healer and also the greatest equalizer. A lot of people have asked how I feel about what is going on in the world right now… and music is where I turn to answer that question — We Belong to Each Other, We are Sister and Brother… ALL OF US. We must not divide, but unite,” Brooks shares.

The inspirational track was initially shared as a lyric video by ABC’s Robin Roberts on Monday (June 15th) before Brooks released it via social media on Tuesday morning (June 16th). Last week, Roberts inquired about new music when Brooks was promoting his drive-in concert special and Brooks made the offering for Roberts to be the first to hear it.

“Let’s do a deal then. I tell you what. I have something new that I’m working on. I’ll send it to you this weekend, and then you decide what you do with it. You’ll be the first one to get it. If you want to share it, share it. If you want to keep it for you, keep it for you, but I’ll send it to you sometime this weekend, okay?”

The track is assumed to be on Brooks’ long awaited upcoming Fun album that was announced in 2018. Eight of the 14 tracks have been released ahead of the delayed album. It was set to be released this summer, but delayed due to COVID-19, along with two of his summer stadium tour dates in Cincinnati and Charlotte.

The drive-in concert is set for 300 drive-in theaters across North America on Saturday, June 27th. The concert will be created exclusively for this event, making this a once in a lifetime experience. It will be the largest concert ever one-night show to play at outdoor theaters across the United States and Canada. The event will be produced by Encore Live, a leading event production company, and may open to other showings following fan demand. Tickets are $100 each and available via Ticketmaster this Friday, June 19th.
