Garth Brooks joins 36|86 Festival

The virtual festival takes place over ten days in August

Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN), a public-private partnership guided by a vision of making Tennessee the most startup-friendly state in the nation, has announced that country superstar Garth Brooks will speak at the 36|86 Festival, its entrepreneur-focused event taking place digitally August 17-28th. The festival connects innovators, pioneers, investors and visionaries to shape the business community of the future.

Brooks will take part in 36|86’s “36 Questions,” a series in which LaunchTN asks an industry leader at the top of their game to answer questions that range from the personal to the professional. His Q&A will be Thursday, August 20th at 2:45 pm ET.

“Garth Brooks is one of country music’s biggest stars, both in terms of his catalog and his constant innovation within the industry,” states Van Tucker, interim CEO, LaunchTN. “From drive-in concerts to live streaming events, he has showcased his unique skills and entrepreneurial ingenuity to reach his fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. He joins an all-encompassing group of speakers across the 36|86 Festival that are making waves across their industries.”

Traditionally a two-day, in-person festival, this year’s conference will stretch over ten days to account for more than 50 hours and 50+ sessions in five primary tracks: Health, Entertainment, Culture, Build and Scale. Those interested in attending the festival can find a registration page on the 36|86 website, alongside an expansive speaker list and agenda.

The day before, John McBride, Martina McBride’s husband and owner of Blackbird Studios, will be chatting about how Blackbird has become responsible for over a billion records sold. McBride has worked with artists in all genres, including country, rap, pop, and electronica. He’ll discuss his center for sound, Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, to hear what it takes to build a genre-agnostic launching pad for the latest and greatest in artists and music.
