Brooks will perform at Joes’ Bar on July 15th

Garth Brooks announced his Dive Bar Tour on Sunday (July 7th), National Dive Bar Day, and Joe’s Bar on Weed St in Chicago is the first stop next Monday, July 15th. The news was announced today (July 8th) on Chicago country radio stations, WUSN and WEBG. Tickets for the concert will be available to win exclusively on those two stations. All ticket holders must be 21 and over. This will be the first of seven Dive Bar concerts this summer, with the rest to be announced soon.

All winners must show a valid photo ID for entry. Check-in for Chicago will start at 4:30 pm and doors will open at 5:30 pm.

Six other cities will be announced at a later date. Seagrams 7 is partnering with Brooks on the tour by picking the cities and bars, but is not a sponsor of the Dive Bar Tour. Brooks will be bringing a scaled down version of his band without any backup singers.

Additionally, Jimmy Kimmel Live will air Garth Brooks’ performance of “Dive Bar” live from the Chicago show on July 15th on ABC, tune in: 11:35 pm/10:35 pm CT.

The tour is in support of “Dive Bar,” Brooks’ latest single that features Blake Shelton. Shelton has not been announced to perform at any of the Dive Bar Tour dates. “Dive Bar” is currently available only via country radio until Amazon Prime Day on July 15th when it will be available at Amazon Music. A video is also planned for release this summer.

The song has the highest debut in seven years landing at No. 23 on Mediabase, and the second highest debut on Billboard of 2019 at No. 16. “Dive Bar” is taken from Brooks’ forthcoming studio album Fun, and is his first musical collaboration with Shelton, whose current hit, “God’s Country,” lands at No. 1 this week.

Brooks and Shelton are set to perform the song and record it live for the first and only time at a sold out show in Boise, ID on July 19th, at a stop on the monumental The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour.
