Garth Brooks passes one million vinyl sales

Legacy – The Vinyl Collection features five albums

Garth Brooks surpasses the one million vinyl mark with his vinyl release, Legacy- The Vinyl Collection. This is the fourth and final pre-sale window for the limited numbered editions of the multi disc, multi box collection. The window is open until May 5th or until supplies last via garthbrooks.com/vinyl.

In this window, Brooks went live directly to the fans and offered them an opportunity to secure a numbered edition of Legacy. Pre-ordering allows fans the chance to pick their own special six-digit number, something the individual retail fall releases will not allow.

“Music is so personal, now, being able to make your package with your most important date on it, makes it even more personal,” Brooks states. “I have secured my packages with my daughters’ birthdays and my anniversary.”

Yahoo! has called it the most sought after vinyl of 2019.

At the first pre-sale window from rehearsal for the stadium tour on February 28th, Brooks sold out 420,000 in 18 hours.

Forbes noted, “to put this in context, The Beatles were the No. 1 vinyl artist in 2018 with 321,000 sales in over 12 months.”

The fourth and final, current window began during Brooks’ appearance at Zynga HQ in San Francisco on May 1st to mark his co-hosting debut of their game, Words With Friends. Within minutes of the window opening, Brooks passed the one million mark of vinyl albums.
