New date will be announced

Out of respect for the victims of the Buffalo mass shooting on Saturday (May 14th), Garth Brooks has decided to postpone the Buffalo Stadium Tour on sale that was scheduled for this Friday, May 20th. The concert will still take place Saturday, July 23rd at Highmark Stadium.

“At some point, the healing in Buffalo will begin and the city will sing again. But for now, we pause out of respect for what the great community of Buffalo is going through, and we stand beside all of those who are hurting and confused by such an unthinkable act,” Brooks says in a press statement.

A new on sale date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Eighteen-year-old Payton Gendron opened fire at a Tops Friendly Market grocery store Saturday afternoon, killing 10 people and injuring three others. Eleven of the victims were black and two were white. The New York state Department of Justice is investigating the shooting as a “hate crime and an act of racially-motivated violent extremism. Fox News reports that Gendron, who was arrested, would’ve continued the attack if he had escaped.
