Garth Brooks has an unrivaled hold on the Top 10 Country Album Chart, as his recently released The Ultimate Collection, Christmas Together and Gunslinger (Pearl Records, Inc.) were the top three best-selling albums respectively on BuzzAngle this week, while The Ultimate Hits made a re-entry at No. 10, marking Brooks’ fourth album in the Top 10. The achievement is befitting of an artist who continues to break his own milestones, Brooks previously held the Top 3 album spots with Ropin’ The Wind, No Fences and Garth Brooks respectively in 1992. Critics have been quick to praise Brooks’ “strong new album” (New York Times) Gunslinger, with The Guardian highlighting that on the “impressive new album… [Brooks] made sure the 10 songs stand tall inside his classic catalog of hits.”
Fans were able to experience Gunslinger ahead of its national release, as it was included on Garth Brooks:The Ultimate Collection which debuted as the No. one best-selling album sold solely through Target. Brooks is also currently undertaking a stacked holiday season of national TV appearances in support of his first collaborative album with Trisha Yearwood, Christmas Together. The festive collection debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country albums chart and will see the pair take part in The National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5th (Hallmark Channel), stop by Live With Kelly on December 21st on ABC at 9 am CT, Good Morning America on December 23rd on ABC and The Disney Parks’ Magical Christmas Celebration (ABC) on Christmas Day at 9 am ET. Brooks will also perform in tribute to James Taylor on The Kennedy Center Honors airing on CBS on December 27th.
