Garth Brooks sells out Billings in 36 minutes; adds 5th show

Garth Brooks has sold 39,000 tickets in 36 minutes for Billings, MT. He is set for four concerts at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. No more seats remain for the four shows.

But because of extreme fan support given to the Garth Brooks World Tour, another show will be played. The date of the show and when it goes on sale will be announced Monday morning (May 8th).

This is the last set of shows on the world tour for Montana and Wyoming.

The four scheduled concerts will be:

Friday, June 9th 7 pm
Saturday, June 10th 3 pm
Saturday, June 10th 7:30 pm
Sunday, June 11th 3 pm

Brooks is nearing the end of the North American run of his tour that began three years ago. Less than ten dates remain, with Nashville and Los Angeles not announced but expected. The future of what Brooks will do beyond that remains to be seen, as he stated in March that he’s not sure when the tour will hit overseas as the band and crew are exhausted from overwhelming demand.

“Everyone’s pretty exhausted. I mean, five million tickets in one hundred cities in ’98. You’re thirty. Five million tickets in 60 cities, and you’re 55. It’s gonna take its toll,” Brooks says during an Albany press conference. “You’ll see these guys, right now, they are all out there laying down right now. All of ‘em. But tonight they’ll be like seven year old kids, man. It’s the most beautiful gift you could ever give somebody. Thank you for it because, all these people, including [Trisha Yearwood], she’ll be 17 tonight. And just beautiful. And just having the time of her life. It’s a great thing. So Australia was supposed to be. Right now we’re talking with Australia. We’ll see.”

The remaining dates announced include seven shows in Kansas City May 5th through 13th, the five Billings shows above and a single Lafayette, LA show for June 24th, as of now.
