Brooks has hinted he’s coming out of retirement
Garth Brooks is starting to speak out on his future music plans. Brooks sent an email to subscribers of his mailing list on Friday afternoon, the first of what is expected to be many, giving very few details of what’s ahead.
“The sevens have aligned. It has begun…
“Thank you for believing…love, g”
After receiving this email, I went to his website to see if anything else was revealed. Sure enough, the “Be the first to know” message that has graced us all year long has been replaced with “Join the circle of ‘Friends.'”
We all know Brooks has confirmed he’s recording new music soon, so could this “Friends” be the title of a new single? How about a new album? How about a new joint tour that wife and fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood revealed to CBS News in August? I guess we will have to wait a little longer to find out, even though we have been waiting for years.
This email confirms an announcement is coming very soon, although we don’t have any idea how soon that is expected. Brooks is known for keeping a tight lid on his plans until he’s ready to unveil them.
If you haven’t signed up yet and want to “be the first to know,” you better sign up now as I only expect the emails to gradually increase with more clues and/or announcements about what’s yet to come in the new world of Garth Brooks.
