CRS is the annual Country Radio Seminar held in Nashville
While Garth Brooks hasn’t announced any Nashville dates for his Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood, a special secret show is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25th in Music City.
Nashville country station The Big 98 WSIX states that Brooks is “doing something super special for his Nashville fans” by playing the invitation only show which is being dubbed as a “once-in-a-lifetime event.” It’s one way Brooks is saying thank you to his fans for being supportive of his “comeback.”
“We can’t tell you all the secrets, but we can tell you to register for your chance to win a FOUR PACK of tickets to experience a taste of Garth Brooks’ history making World Tour, hosted by our very own [radio personality], Bobby Bones!” the station’s website posts.
As in true Garth Brooks fashion, details surrounding the event are scarce as of this writing. However, Bones tweeted on Thursday (Feb 19th) that the country superstar will be in studio on Monday (Feb 23rd) for an interview on Bones’ nationally syndicated The Bobby Bones Show. No word if that’s when more details will be revealed.
The event is happening as radio programmers and personnel gather in Nashville for its annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in which they educate and promote the exchange of ideas and business practices in the country music industry, emphasizing issues relevant to country radio. This is also a time when labels introduce new artists and new music to radio programmers in the form of showcases.
No word on the significance of the Brooks concert or if it has anything to do with CRS. We will keep you informed.
