The album will see its stand-alone release on September 6th
Garth Brooks’ 14th studio album, Time Traveler, is set for a stand-alone release. The album will be available on September 6th, exclusively on Amazon Music.
The album was previously only available on Brooks’ seven-disc, The Limited Series, box set which was sold exclusively at Bass Pro Shops last fall.
Guests on Time Traveler include Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, and wife Trisha Yearwood, whose background and harmony vocals are woven throughout. The project also features the talents of some of Brooks’ favorite songwriters, such as Tony Arata, Kent Blazy, Stephanie Davis, Bryan Kennedy, and Mitch Rossell.
When announcing the news on Studio G, Garth said, “I tell ya – the song that I’d love for you to listen to first off Time Traveler would be ‘Me Without You’. It’s got a beautiful, kind of hooky just kind of front-end on it. It’s just a song that just goes, ‘Aww…I’m gonna love this album.’” He continued, “The theme from [the] Friends in Low Places build show [‘Neon Neighborhood’] is on there. ‘Only Country Music’ is on there. Ronnie Dunn’s ‘Rodeo Man’ [is] on it. ‘Saint Paul-Minneapolis.’ So good.”
This fall, Brooks will be inducted into the Austin City Limits (ACL) Hall of Fame as the lone inductee, a first for the decade-long history of the organization. The tenth anniversary celebration will take place on September 5th at ACL’s studio home, ACL Live at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. Brooks and his band will perform for the occasion. Brooks anchored ACL’s 25th anniversary broadcast season with a pair of appearances and returns now for the Hall of Fame salute to launch the trailblazing television series’ record-making 50th season. Musical highlights and Brooks’ induction from the Hall of Fame ceremony will air as a special hourlong broadcast of Austin City Limits as a highlight of the program’s golden anniversary Season 50 which premieres on September 28th on PBS.
