Garth Brooks tour details set for Monday

Andy Roberts, the “Andy from Atlanta” Garth Brooks referenced during his big comeback tour and album announcement on Thursday (July 10th), has been located and is ready to tell the world on Monday (July 14th) where Brooks will open his world tour later this year.

Roberts, the president of a full-service facility maintenance company specializing in nightly cleaning, day porter services and floor treatments, was one of a few lucky people to ask Brooks a question during a Q&A at one of the two full band shows Brooks performed at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas in January 2014.

“I was at the live concert in Las Vegas when Garth singled out three random people in the crowd to ask a question,” Roberts states during a Sunday morning (July 11th) interview with HLN-TV’s Lynn Berry on Weekend Express, “and I asked, “When you go on our World Tour, where will your first stop be?'”

While Brooks was unable to reveal the information at that time, the country superstar asked Roberts to leave his phone number so he could personally call him with the news.

“I said, ‘Andy, if you really want to, leave your information here,” Brooks stated during the nearly hour long press conference. “I’ll call you, and you’ll be the first guy to know the opening city.”

Roberts is anticipating that phone call from Brooks sometime on Monday, July 14th. Roberts states that he will be waiting by the phone until the big reveal.

“My phone will not leave my side, I can promise you that!”

“My phone will not leave my side, I can promise you that,” he states. “I have no clue what time, no clue. I don’t know. I hope it’s sooner than later because it’s going to be a long day if it’s not until evening.”

Brooks stated that Roberts can do “whatever he wants” with that information. Roberts claims he will be making the announcement, although he is keeping a tight lip on how he will be share the news.

“I want to do it in a way that’s gonna be great for the fans and Garth,” he claims. “I don’t want to say anything official until I talk to Garth; I want to have his blessing. We are working on a plan right now that I think will be a pretty cool way.”

Roberts claims that the plan he has for the big reveal will be posted on his company website, Turnkey Facility Management, between 5-7 pm ET on Monday.

“Andy will release the Garth Brooks tour schedule between 5-7 pm EST Monday, July 14th!” his website reads. “Keep checking back, as we will announce the location and media outlet partners shortly. Stay tuned and thanks for participating in this once-in-a-lifetime fan experience! Go Garth!!”
