Pair share the bill for the second time in their careers
Two of country music’s Texas troubadours are performing together for a special event. George Strait and Willie Nelson and the Family, along with the Randy Rogers Band, are opening Austin’s Moody Center on April 29, 2022 for Strait from Moody Center, presented by Bud Light.
This Texas-sized Celebration will offer a rare opportunity for fans to see the country icons share a stage for only the second time in their storied careers. In addition to being a part of the new 15,000 – seat music venue debut, the crowd will also be tipping their hat to Nelson, who turns 89 years old the night of the show.
“I’m so glad I’ll get to ‘sing one with Willie’ and I can’t think of a better place to do it than Austin, Texas,” shares Strait. “Willie is an incredible musician and an even better person, so I know this will be a great night together along with our friends from Randy Rogers Band.”
Standard admission starts at $49.50 with exclusive VIP packages ranging from $499 each to $2,999 each. Pre-sales run Wednesday, October 13th at 10 am CT through Thursday, October 21st at 10 pm CT. General on sale starts on Friday, October 22nd at 10 am CT via Ticketmaster.
The performance is part of Strait’s series of historic performances. He next headlines Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium alongside Eric Church on November 5th for a special “The King & The Chief” iteration of the ATLive festival. Strait will also play Minneapolis’ US Bank Stadium on November 13th and will return to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 20, 2022 for his 31st performance at the event.
