Kemosabe Records/RCA Records recording artist and brand-spanking new girl group G.R.L. is gearing up for their first ever promotional tour this fall. Kicking off Tuesday, September 10th in New York City, the fun and flirty fivesome will be visiting radio stations and performing on select dates in cities throughout the East Coast and Midwest. G.R.L. will also be doing meet and greets at select Claire’s locations and available for interview opportunities while traveling across country via tour bus.
“We’re so excited to be going on the road,” says G.R.L. “The world better get ready for us!”
Their debut single “Vacation,” released earlier this summer as a bundle with pop icon Britney Spears’ single “Ooh La La,” will be serviced to radio stations nationwide on September 10th and is also featured on the soundtrack to Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures The Smurfs 2, released on Kemosabe Kids, an imprint of Kemosabe Records.
G.R.L. recently shot their debut video for “Vacation” in Los Angeles, CA which will be premiering soon.
Co-written by hit makers Dr. Luke and Max Martin as well as Bonnie McKee and Henry Walter and produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Cirkut, “Vacation” is the perfect introduction to G.R.L., which is Lauren Bennett (the featured vocalist on LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”), Simone Battle, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula Van Oppen.
“The message in our music is that every GRL in the world, though different and unique in her own way, is connected,” the ladies add. “Together we form a GRL Nation full of smart, courageous, independent, and fierce women. We want to inspire unity, strength, independence, and self-esteem in all GRLs around the world.”
G.R.L. are currently in the studio recording their debut album for Dr. Luke’s Sony Music Entertainment record label Kemosabe, infusing their catchy, bright dance-pop with sassy, vivacious attitude. “A lot of the songs are about keeping a positive outlook and having fun,” says G.R.L. “To us, they represent having the ability to be confident in who you are no matter the situation. Whether the songs deal with emotions, love interests, or friendships – they all have an uplifting theme.”
