Dance music maverick Gryffin has shared the five-track collection of official remixes and reworks of his recent hit album Pulse out now via Virgin Music. The release includes new remixes from Dutch-Moroccan DJ R3HAB, Italian producer MashBit, future drum & bass duo Pirapus, and masked bass act Phrva, along with the acoustic version of “Magnet” with Max.
This alternate edition of Pulse continues to expand on the genre fluidity that distinguished Gryffin’s third studio album, introducing listeners to innovative interpretations of “Dance Through the Night,” “The Reason,” “Magnet,” and “Enemies.” R3HAB offers a progressive and anthemic remix of the Whethan and Norma Jean Martine assisted track while MashBit’s flip of “The Reason” is filled with atmospheric melodies. Piparus’ fast-paced rhythms transform the MAX and Disco Lines original and Phrva’s darker tones provide the perfect contrast for “Enemies.” The remix pack comes paired with an acoustic version of “Magnet,” joining acoustic versions of hits like “All You Need To Know” and “Body Back” that are sprinkled throughout his catalog.
“This remix pack allowed me to further push the boundaries of my recent Pulse album,” Gryffin shares. “Having experimented with many different sub-genres of dance music, it was amazing to see different artists’ direction on my dive into new styles. Working with these artists gives me even more cool versions of my work to play in my shows. Excited for y’all to see the range of this one!”
Released in August, Pulse is a 14-track ode to Gryffin’s early-mid 2000s roots in dance music. Gryffin launched the Pulse era with performances at Ultra Music Festival, Coachella’s DoLaB Stage, and EDC Las Vegas before setting out on his headline Pulse Tour with stops at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Seattle’s WAMU Theater, Minneapolis’ The Armory, and Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom.
