Guns N Roses, LCD Soundsystem, Calvin Harris confirmed for Coachella 2016

Guns N Roses, LCD Soundsystem and Calvin Harris are set to headline Coachella 2016. The two-weekend festival is scheduled for April 15-17 and 22-24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA.

The reunited Guns N Roses will headline both Saturdays, April 16th and 23rd, and is set to include Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, although other founding members Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler’s participation isn’t certain, neither is Matt Sorum, Dizzy Reed or Gilby Clarke’s. It was highly speculated that Rose would announce details of the reunion during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC Tuesday (Jan 5th) night, but Kimmel confirmed during Monday’s show that the singer canceled his appearance with no explanation. The Coachella shows will be the first time Rose and Slash have performed together since 1993.

Rose poked fun at the rumors by “confirming” the news on Twitter by writing, “Ok,ok… It’s “confirmed!” Guns N’ Roses is Headlining Coachella 2016!! See Everyone There!! ”

LCD Soundsystem will also reunite for a pair of Friday performances, April 15th and 22nd. The dance group hasn’t performed together since 2011 and released “Christmas Will Break Your Heart” last month, leading to the rumored headlining slot.

Other Coachella 2016 performers include Calvin Harris headlining both Sunday nights, Ellie Goulding, Ice Cube, Zedd, A$AP Rocky, Sia, The 1975, Chris Stapleton and many more.

Tickets can be purchased at coachella.com.
