Part one of two-part project out May 8th

Academy Award nominated actress and multi-platinum recording artist Hailee Steinfeld has revealed that part 1 of her highly anticipated two-part project is titled Half Written Story and will be released Friday, May 8th via Republic Records. Executive produced by Koz (Dua Lipa, Madonna), Part 1 will feature five songs including “Wrong Direction” and lead single “I Love You’s,” which Steinfeld will perform this Friday, May 1st on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“This project is a collection of songs that are so special to me and I’m incredibly proud of,” Steinfeld shares, “this is the first body of work I’ve put out since my debut project in 2016 and I can’t wait for everyone to hear these new songs.”

Steinfeld first revealed the two-part project last month with the release of “I Love You’s” which USA Today heralded as a “soaring break up anthem” and Glamour praised it as “upbeat and catchy – the perfect type of song to play on repeat.” The single has quickly amassed 22 million streams and has been featured on top playlists including Spotify’s Pop Rising, Mood Booster, and Fresh & Chill in addition to Apple Music’s A-List Pop, Heartbreak Pop, Everyday Hits and more. Shortly after single release, Steinfeld shared the “empowering” (Harper’s BAZAAR) official video for the single which she directed alongside Sarah McColgan and has nearly four million views already.

Part 2 will be released this summer.
