Studio lies in the heart of Montreux, Switzerland

The recording studio is not just a specialized well-equipped facility. It’s a creativity temple where you must feel comfort and aesthetic pleasure. Another vital aspect is efficiency. And I think we might have found one perfect place that can offer everything that artists can wish for.

Our research fell on a small beautiful town in Switzerland called Montreux. You might have heard about it from Montreux Jazz Festival, a well-known music festival this town hosts every summer. Or maybe you’ve heard Deep Purple’s “Smoke On The Water” that the band wrote about Montreux? If you read about the legendary Queen, you’ll learn that they used to record in Mountain Studios, located in Montreux. As we went deeper into our research, we found out about another studio called Hana Road Studios, just next to the Queen’s one. And yes, we think it might be one of the most incredible and unique studios in the world. Now we’ll explain to you why.

First is the location. The studio sits inside a vintage antique hotel just two minutes of walk from one of the most picturesque lakes, Lac Leman. A massive white studio door is decorated with carved musical notes, leading you to the corridor. On its walls, you see the photos of the studio’s clients: Woodkid, Aloe Blacc, DJ Mariana bo, Shapov, Easy Mo Bee and many other European stars. Nice. Then you enter a big room with a white floor, colorful curtains, LED installations, stylish themed photo backgrounds, and many excellent decor pieces. This room is actively used for various photo/video/social media content shoots.

Above one of the doors in the room, we see a sign that reads Audio Studio. Once you enter, you find yourself in a control room with an impressive Euphonix mixing desk right at the center, numerous Focal speakers and other top-notch gear. It does look like a spaceship, and this spaceship is Dolby Atmos-certified, so there are endless opportunities for artists, brands, and film production companies to create. The recording part of the studio has two other rooms: a spacious recording room that fits up to 20 people and a smaller cosy vocal booth.

Now, let’s imagine you are an artist coming from any other city or country to Montreux for a recording experience. You can stay at the same hotel where the studio is located, so there is no need for you to even change from your home slippers to sneakers. If you forgot anything at home, there is no need to worry since it will take you one minute to go to your room and come back to the studio. If you are suddenly hungry or thirsty, there is a restaurant right on the hotel’s ground floor. And guess what, you don’t even have to go down to eat, as your meal can be brought hot to you to the studio straight from the restaurant. Need a break to refresh and change the scenery? A two minute walk from the studio will take you to one of the most beautiful, peaceful, and inspiring places. If the idea for your song cover suddenly came to your head, you can take incredible photos straight at the studio. Do you want to film some release promo content, TikToks, mood videos, and even a music video? You can do it straight at the spot with the studio’s in-house video production and VFX team. Now you see why we called it unique?

There is no need for you to travel to different places, as you can cover everything you need from A to Z at just one studio in Montreux.

Another cool feature Hana Road Studios has that we’ve never seen at other studios before are its subscriptions. This can be very convenient and financially wise, especially for the local artists. You pay a certain amount per month and get numerous fantastic benefits, such as discounts for audio and video services and audio-visual rental. Yes, those guys also operate as an audio-visual rental company. What else to say?
