Hardy announces 14 track ‘Hixtape Vol 2’ with 33 artists

Tracks begin rolling out Sept 10th

Hardy has announced the second installment of his groundbreaking country collaboration series, Hixtape. The series now expands to become bigger than any one artist, serving as a home for the pure love of making music – country style. Volume two begins rolling out Friday, September 10th through its full release on December 10th.

Produced by Joey Moi, the set will feature 14 new tracks and 33 artists in total, all working together in the spirit of unbridled creation. One new track will arrive each Friday, and the all-star guest list is out now.

“I am beyond excited about this release,” says Hardy. “I think it’s really the first one that’s going to truly introduce what Hixtape is all about, how it can take on a life of its own, and just be the first original country mixtape with all different artists. I think the songs are great and everybody involved from the singers to the songwriters to the Big Loud family are some of my favorite people in the world. I’m just happy to be part of such a cool project and I have really high hopes for it.”

Keeping his crown as the Hixtape “O.G.,” Hardy appears on six new songs while his co-stars populate the rest, sharing and amplifying his original vision with unexpected pairings.

With an all-star cast, the lineup of Hixtape: Vol 2 includes Ashland Craft, Ben Burgess, Brantley Gilbert, Brothers Osborne, Chase Rice, Chris Lane, Chris Shiflett, Colt Ford, David Lee Murphy, Dierks Bentley, ERNEST, Granger Smith, Jake Owen, Jake Worthington, Jimmie Allen, Jon Pardi, Josh Thompson, Justin Moore, Lainey Wilson, Larry Fleet, Lee Brice, Marty Stuart, Matt Stell, Midland, Morgan Wallen, Randy Houser, Rhett Akins, Ronnie Dunn, Scotty McCreery, Sean Stemaly, The Cadillac Three and Travis Denning.

Setting the tone for things to come, the next chapter begins tomorrow (Fri, Sept 10th) with the release of the project’s first track, “Hometown Boys” featuring Hardy with Matt Stell and Dierks Bentley. With a forever-young theme, it’s all about the friendships that have stood the test of time and last long beyond their glory days – delivered with a mix of nostalgia and windows-down, hometown pride.

Meanwhile, the first-of-its-kind Hixtape: Vol. 1 arrived in 2019 and included tracks like “One Beer” featuring Hardy with Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson. The track became a Platinum-certified No. 1 on the Country Airplay charts – and the first No. 1 for both Hardy and Dawson. Other artists featured on the project included Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Jake Owen and more.
