The new EP revisits and reimagines songs from his acclaimed catalog
Hunter Hayes announces his masterful new EP, Lost & Found. The three-track project features remixed, remastered and reimagined versions of songs previously released, โIn A Song,โ due out September 20th, as well as forthcoming releases โStill Fallinโโ and โSomebodyโs Heartbreak.โ
“Talking about being an independent artist has been liberating, empowering and inspiring,” Hayes shares. “I didnโt want it to be about business, I wanted it to be about ownership of oneโs life, story and narrative. That is something I have been learning a lot about in the past 10 years. These are songs that carry important messages for me and itโs a chance for me to go back to the garden and check on things that I planted over ten years ago so I can see how they are doing now.”
The first release from the project, โIn A Song,โ expresses the pain of a broken relationship and the journey of healing. Hayes, who has always found comfort and strength in music, illustrates that through the ups and downs, you can find your way back to yourself and eventually discover where you truly belong. Itโs about embracing goodbye, learning from the past, and finding solace in the melodies that help you navigate through life’s challenges.
Announced on his birthday, the project celebrates his musical journey so far, as Hayes sets the stage for future releases. Before he dives into his next project, he’s revisiting his roots. More than just a nostalgic trip down memory lane; Lost & Found is a glimpse into Hayesโ evolving sound and what fans can expect from his upcoming work. As he closes one chapter and embarks on a new phase of his artistry, Hayes describes this record as both liberating and inspiring.
Sticking to the songsโ original DNA and playing every instrument on the tracks, Hayes reimagines how they have grown with time and paints a compelling narrative of transformation. The EP serves as a powerful testament to his careerโs evolution, blending unique storytelling with masterful artistry. As Hayes charts a new course as a genre-defying artist, Lost & Found stands as a beacon of manifestation to where heโs been and where heโs heading. As Hayes continues to evolve as an artist and redefine his mastery, he looks forward to writing and releasing music that leaves a lasting impact on new and old fans alike.
