Imagine Dragons earns RIAA Diamond Award for ‘Radioactive’ single

“Radioactive” has garnered more than ten million in sales and streams

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on Monday (July 6th) presented Imagine Dragons with a prestigious Digital Diamond Award in recognition of their hit song “Radioactive” (KIDinaKORNER/Interscope) surpassing the ten million threshold counting song sales and streams.

The presentation took place at Imagine Dragons’ Washington, D.C. Verizon Center show as part of the band’s Smoke + Mirrors tour.

Imagine Dragons join the likes of Eminem and Rihanna for receiving such feats this year. Eminem, who has a total of four Diamond Awards, has become the only artist in RIAA Gold & Platinum history to earn two Digital Diamond Awards.

Rihanna was awarded for surpassing more than 100 million Gold & Platinum song certifications, elevating her to number one on RIAA’s list of artists with the most Digital Single Awards and making her the first and only artist to surpass RIAA’s 100 million cumulative singles award threshold.
