Ink rides bold with debut track

“Turquoise Cowboy” introduces the Germany-born singer/songwriter

On the heels of multiple Grammy nominations and mega co-writes on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter and โ€œLutherโ€ (currently in its 13th week at No. 1), the A-list’s biggest secret weapon, Ink, has stepped out from behind her golden pen to deliver her highly anticipated Big Loud Records/Electric Feel Records debut, โ€œTurquoise Cowboy.โ€

โ€œ’Turquoise Cowboy’ is my anthem. It’s not just a songโ€”it’s my silhouette in sound,โ€ says Ink. โ€œThis is for the outlaws who shine differently. The ones who turned pain into presence. I wrote ‘Turquoise Cowboy’ as a reminder that style, soul, and survival can ride in the same saddle. I’m not just wearing turquoiseโ€ฆI am the turquoise. Rare, raw, and impossible to ignore.โ€

โ€œTurquoise Cowboyโ€ is one of the first records that came out of a recent trip to Nashville. Penning the stormy, sweeping song with co-writers Jesse Frasure (Kane Brown, Jelly Roll) and Trannie Anderson (Lainey Wilson, Dan + Shay). Ink, a Georgia-raised multi-hyphenate, incorporates twanging instrumentation with her rhythmic and lyrical sensibilities on the new song โ€“ a reflection of her extensive creative success as a collaborator, from a feature on Childish Gambino’s 2020 single โ€œPsilocybae (Millennial Love)โ€ to studio time writing with Beyoncรฉ on her blockbuster albums Renaissance and Cowboy Carter โ€“ and recently her six cuts on Kendrick Lamar’s smash GNX.

Blending dusty acoustic guitar riffs with hip-hop grit and cinematic soul, “Turquoise Cowboy” is more than a song – it’s a declaration. Anchored by Ink’s raw storytelling and unmistakable tone, the track introduces a new kind of outlaw: one who rides between tradition and rebellion, armed with turquoise jewelry, black cowboy boots and a heart full of fire.

Ink now steps into the spotlight with a record that’s as personal as it is powerful. Produced by Jesse Frasure, “Turquoise Cowboy” sounds like the open road – wild, soulful and drenched in rhythm.

From street performer to global visionary, Ink brings the same fire that fueled her viral acoustic performances to a new era of sonic storytelling. With visuals inspired by Western cinema, black cowgirl heritage and high fashion, the โ€œTurquoise Cowboyโ€ campaign signals the start of something seismic.

Ink has been the music industry’s secret weapon for more than a minute now. She co-penned several tracks on Beyonce’sย Cowboy Carter country-inspired album, as well as the contender for biggest song of the year โ€“ Kendrick Lamar and Sza’s โ€œLuther,โ€ which is currently in its ninth week at the top of the chart. Ink is set to apply her southern roots and storytelling approach to songwriting with her ability to write songs that appeal to the masses to her new music under Big Loud Records and Electric Feel Records.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in Atlanta, Ink began her artist journey as a street performer in and around ATL. Deeply musical with a genre-less affinity for great songs, she counts influences ranging from R&B songwriters like Babyface and Tony Henry and the Southern rock of Creedence Clearwater Revival to the confessional songwriting of Lauryn Hill and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
