Issam Alnajjar returns with ‘Ansaki’

New single & video available now

Jordanian singer and songwriter Issam Alnajjar is back with his new song “Ansaki,” out now accompanied by the official music video.

“I wrote this song in a very hard time in my life,” Alnajjar says. “I was at a point where I couldn’t write or work on music, and it came as an idea very naturally. I was at a point where I wanted to forget that person, and it was such a powerful line to just say that ‘it’s easier for me to forget you.’ It only took us 15-20 minutes to finish the song from recording melodies to writing lyrics to recording the song, which was insane!”

“Ansaki” follows his debut album Baree?, which has amassed over 1.5 billion global streams since the release of his global viral hit “Hadal Ahbek.” Additional breakout tracks from Baree? include “Si Tu Vuelas (Hadal Ahbek)” with Danna Paola and Alok, “Turning Me Up (Hadal Ahbek)” with Loud Luxury and Ali Gatie, and “Hada Ghareeb” featuring Palestinian-Chilean artist and fellow Universal Arabic Music signing Elyanna.

The 19-year-old singer, songwriter, and guitarist Issam Alnajjar has made history with “Hadal Ahbek,” as it is the first Arabic song to explode worldwide as a viral No. 1 hit. Upon release, the track peaked at No. 1 on Spotify’s US and Global Viral 50 Charts and Shazam’s Top 200 Global Chart, as well as reached Top 20 spots on Apple Music’s Global Hits and Viral Hits Playlists. On the international stage, it hit No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral Chart in 25 local markets, including UK, Canada, Germany, France, and Mexico, and No. 1 on Shazam’s Top 200 Chart in 24 local markets. Last year, Alnajjar was named one of GQ Middle East’s Men Of The Year, and Forbes Middle East included him on their 2021 30 Under 30 list.

Additional music is set to come from Issam Alnajjar in 2023.
