Thanks to an anonymous source, booking agency, Degy Entertainment, has released a list of what artists’ agents are suggesting each act be paid per show, pre-expense. Readers should note that these are asking prices from a third-party booking agency and that they are not comprehensive or necessarily 100% correct. Actual prices that are negotiated are contingent on a variety of factors are are sure to change on a per show basis.
According to this list, eight acts demand over $1 million per show, including, Taylor Swift, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, James Taylor, Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen, and Bon Jovi.
Other acts that seem to command the same amount, but are being listed at a lower rate, include Lady Gaga at $750k (who Forbes’ named second behind Madonna on their “Highest Paid Musicians 2013” list) and British boy band One Direction, whose popularity has soared recently, have become Britian’s most successful boy band of all time.
Priceonomics has organized the list from highest ($100k+) to lowest ($1,000), so you can visit them if you want to see where you favorite act ranks.
