Itzy releases mini album ‘Gold’

The set features focus tracks “Gold” & “Imaginary Friend”

Critically acclaimed K-Pop superstars Itzy has released their highly anticipated mini-album Gold across all digital and streaming platforms, through JYP Entertainment/Imperial/Republic Records. Featuring 11 tracks, Gold is the group’s second album released in 2024, and continues to encapsulate messages of freedom and self-love, core identities of the group dating back to their 2019 debut.

The new album, which reunites all five Itzy members, features two focus tracks, “Gold” and “Imaginary Friend,” both of which have accompanying music videos that showcase Itzy’s universally recognized electrifying presence and unshakeable energy that has made them beloved by fans everywhere. The music video for “Gold” is out now, with the highly anticipated music video for “Imaginary Friend” to be released on October 28th. Gold also includes the exciting track, “Vay,” co-written by and featuring Changbin from Stray Kids. In addition, the album includes re-recorded versions of “Born to Be,” “Untouchable,” “Mr. Vampire,””Dynamite,” and “Escalator” from the group’s previous smash mini-album, Born to Be. These versions were re-recorded to include all five Itzy members, offering a fresh take on fan-favorite songs.

Gold comes on the heels of Itzy’s monumental 2nd World Tour Born To Be which visited arenas across 18 countries, including Australia, Mexico, England, Japan, and Canada. Demonstrating their true skills as “stage masters,” through a parade of representative hit songs and B-side tracks that fully cater to fans’ desires, the group is poised to uphold their reputation heading into 2025.
