New single featured in trainer for Activision’s Call of Duty: Vanguard

Jack White is back with his first new solo music in nearly four years. The incendiary “Taking Me Back” is available digitally worldwide via Third Man Records. The single, produced by White at Third Man Studios in Nashville, features the 12x GRAMMY Award-winning artist on all vocals and instruments. Additionally, the hard rocking “Taking Me Back” arrives paired with a genuinely gentler version aptly titled “Taking Me Back (Gently).” Both versions are joined by new visuals, premiering at White’s official YouTube channel.

“Taking Me Back” can also be heard in the just-unveiled video game trailer for Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard, along with footage from the game in the newly premiered lyric video for the song. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Vanguard delivers World War II like never before as players will rise on every front when the game launches worldwide on November 5th. The title is the newest release from the blockbuster Call of Duty franchise that’s sold over 400 million copies around the world.

In other news, Third Man Records has unveiled Vault Package #50 as The White Stripes – Live At The Detroit Institute of Arts. The package, centered around the band’s monumental November 2, 2001 performance in the museum’s iconic Diego Rivera Court, features a 2 LP set on red and white vinyl taken directly from soundboard audio, a pro-shot DVD of the complete performance, previously unseen images by Detroit photographer Steve Shaw, and a custom gatefold jacket. Aside from being a defining document of the band’s global ascendancy 20 years ago, the performance is noteworthy for breaking the museum’s all-time single-day attendance record. Fans have through October 31st at midnight CT to sign up and receive this package.
