Nashville rockers release first single

Jackson Bruck and the Dukes of Hume have released their first single, “Already Gone,” from their upcoming album and first ever LP, The Golden Road, followed by a single-release party June 22 at the High Watt at Cannery Row in Nashville, TN.

Music City natives, and brother and sister, Jackson and Jacy Bruck, come together as vocalists in the six member band, forming the Nashville Rock sound described as “old soul rock and roll.”

“Already Gone” uses its upbeat tempo to tell a contrasting story of lost-love, in which the one doing the breaking-up, isn’t the one left picking up the pieces.

The song’s centerpiece struggles to come to terms with the failed attempts at a salvageable relationship and deal with watching the other person move on from a love already gone.

Jackson says he wrote the song two years ago, and like many of his songs, his lyrical contents are usually much deeper in meaning than melody would allow a listener to observe.

“It doesn’t sound like you’re listening to a song that feels sad,” says Jackson. “I think it’s a song that really hits people when they realize how many layers to the song that there are.”

Recorded at the Sound Shelter in Franklin, The Golden Road, is produced by Tres Sasser, engineered by Joe Costa, and mastered by Richard Dodd.

Dodd, a GRAMMY awarded master engineer and producer has worked with noteworthy names such as Tom Petty, Melissa Etheridge, Brooks and Dunn.

Jackson says Dodd’s mastering gives The Golden Road and big and rounded sound that is pleasingly “in your face.”

The band will be releasing a string of approximately 12 singles over the next few months culminating in their The Dukes Of Hume’s first LP The Golden Road.

A second single, “Next Friday Afternoon,” is set to be released August 22nd.

The Dukes of Hume will play their single-release party, tomorrow, (Saturday, June 22nd) at the High Watt at Cannery Row in Nashville. Additional performances will be by the Criticals, and Evan Castle & the Southern Tier.

Doors open at 7 pm. Show starts at 8 pm. Tickets for the 18+ event can be purchased online or at the door.
