Track is from forthcoming 10th studio album

Jason Aldean has teamed with Carrie Underwood for the first time ever for “If I Didn’t Love You,” the first single from Aldean’s forthcoming 10th studio record. The fiery new track was produced by Aldean’s longtime friend and collaborator Michael Knox, and written by his bandmates Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy alongside John Morgan and Lydia Vaughan.

“We were pretty close to finishing up this album, but this song came in and we knew we had to record it,” Aldean shares. “I went ahead and put my vocals down while we asked Carrie in the meantime. Luckily she loved the song and it was kind of like a rocket from there. She did her thing…and I don’t know how, but she made it sound even better than what we expected. It’s a really special song to start this album.”

Aldean’s album details are forthcoming.

He teased the track earlier this week on social media. “We’ve got a brand new song coming your way this Friday! Who do y’all think is singing on this one with me?” he shares with the single’s artwork with a large green and black question mark replacing Underwood’s image. Many fans used photo editing software to decipher Underwood’s image was transparent in the background.

The track follows Aldean’s 25th No. 1Blame It On You” topping both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles and Billboard’s Country Airplay charts last week. The track secures back-to-back No. 1’s from his sixth consecutive No. 1 selling album 9, and makes 34 Top 10 song on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart — more than any other artist — since making his chart debut in 2005.

Aldean returns to the road for the Back in the Saddle Tour 2021, produced by Live Nation. The full-throttle trek will launch August 5th in Virginia Beach, VA, with special guests Hardy and Lainey Wilson and the run will host back-to-back nights in Orange Beach, AL. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.

Following the trek in December, Aldean will return to Park Theater at Park MGM in 2021 for Back in the Saddle: Las Vegas 2021, a three-night engagement December 9, 10 and 11.
