Jason Aldean earns sixth consecutive No 1 debut

9 debuts at the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart

ACM โ€œArtist of the Decadeโ€ Jason Aldean earns his sixth consecutive No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart this week with his new effort 9 (Macon Music/Broken Bow Records), moving over 83,000 units in total consumption. His ninth studio album tracked the most physical sales this week while landing at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 all-genre chart as all 16-tracks are โ€œquintessential Aldean,” (Rolling Stone). Notably, all eight of Aldeanโ€™s previous studio albums have been certified gold or platinum by the RIAA. Following 23 chart-toppers, the project’s lead single “We Back” continues to climb the Top 10 at country radio after national television performances of the propulsive track on Good Morning America and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Following his own time-tested formula for nearly 15 years while bolstering 15 billion streams and more than 18 million albums sold, Aldean continues to make modern albums with an old-school soul that critics admire. Before 9‘s anticipated release Aldean landed on notable lists including Billboard, Entertainment Weekly and New York Times “Most Anticipated Albums of Fallโ€ and now reviews of affirmation prove 9 “showcases Aldean at peak swagger,” (Rolling Stone).

Last week, Aldean partnered with over 100 Bar Louie neighborhood locations and independent bars across the nation to bring the first-of-its-kind concert event, โ€œ9 at 9,” nine song performance by Aldean and his band.

After closing out his 2019 headlining run, the three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year returns to Las Vegas this week for Jason Aldean: Ride All Night Vegas at Park Theater at Park MGM. In January, Aldean will launch the winter leg of the 2020 We Back Tour with special guests Morgan Wallen, Riley Green and Dee Jay Silver.
