Nettles surprise releases six song EP to DSPs

Jennifer Nettles has surprised fans with I Can Do Hard Things EP via Big Machine Label Group, as she drops the album with little fanfare on Friday, June 7th. The singer/songwriter released the title track in February, but began sharing snippets of songs from the EP on social media on Thursday, June 6th.

“May I present to you my ‘I Can Do Hard Things’ EP,” Nettles shares in an email Friday morning. “It is a collection of songs I wrote a couple of years ago and have been waiting to make available at the right time. I am so happy that time is here and to let it make its way into the world and into your ears and hopefully into your hearts! It is equal parts sass and heart. Songs of flirty fun, of questioning, of longing, of resilience. Always lots of resilience! I so enjoyed its musical explorations, and the players who played on it are all so stellar.

“Thanks to my team who always shows up for me! I hope you all enjoy!!! Here ya go!!!”

The EP features six songs, including the full length version of the title track, and the bluesy “Just My Record Player” and “Take It Off.”

The EP is available at all digital and streaming outlets.
