Jesse & The Rippers to perform on ‘Late Night’

No reason for the reunion was given

Fans of the hit ABC-TV series Full House get a bit of nostalgia with another reunion this week in the form of music. The show’s fictional band Jesse & The Rippers fronted by actor/musician John Stamos is reuniting for a performance on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday, July 19th.

On Monday (July 15th), Stamos posted an Instagram video of he and his former TV bandmates recording the beloved ’90s sitcom theme song.

Nothing has been revealed as to why this reunion is happening, but as a fan of the show and the band, I’m glad to see it 18 years after the show went off the air.

When not starring on Necessary Roughness on USA, Stamos is an active musician, most recently playing drums with The Beach Boys on a number of dates this year. I always wondered why he never had a record contract because the guy can play and sing.

Here’s the band with their cover of The Beach Boys’ “Forever” from the show in the early ’90s.
