Jimmie Allen premiering ‘Be Alright’ video on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’

Debut marks first music video broadcast premiere on the program

Jimmie Allen will debut the music video for his single “Be Alright” on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday, April 24th, marking the first world broadcast music video premiere on the show since its launch. Allen will also appear as a lead guest on the show, billed as The Gift of Music Hour (Kelly’s Birthday Show) episode in celebration of Clarkson’s birthday.

“I grew up a fan of shows like TRL, 106 & Park and Top 20 Country Countdown. I miss the days where it was like the world stopped and just watched to see the visual creation by an artist of a song that people were slowly starting to hear, or a song that people knew,” Allen says. “I feel like the visual gives a song a new meaning and a new perspective, and I really wanted to find a way to have a world premiere of ‘be alright.’ Thank you so much to Kelly Clarkson and her team for having me on the show and letting me do that!”

Following the broadcast debut, the music video for “Be Alright” will be available everywhere digitally at 5:30 pm CT on April 24th. Co-directed by Allen and frequent collaborator Chris Beyrooty, the music video stars Allen and The Goldbergs’ actress Hayley Orrantia.

Shot on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles and choreographed by two-time Emmy Award-winning choreographer Tessandra Chavez, the video is set in New York City with Orrantia playing a down-on-her-luck character named Eve. Things start looking up when she encounters an old friend with a new mantra, played by Allen. Dakota Diel (Army of the Dead) was on board as director of photography.

“This is a video where I feel like I definitely did something different,” Allen expands. “I’m a huge fan of musical theater, country music, pop music, Christian music… just a huge fan of bringing something you wouldn’t expect to a song through the video. I’m super excited. Shoutout to my co-director Chris Beyrooty, the Warner Bros. lot for letting us film it there, and all the dancers and choreographers that came out. It was an amazing day, and I hope everyone enjoys the video.”

Be Alright (15 Edition)” – a special version of the song – impacted country radio on April 10th, garnering 50 first day adds before being released digitally on Saturday, April 15th via Stoney Creek Records/BBR Music Group. “Be Alright” is the second single off Allen’s third album Tulip Drive – released June 2022 – and follow’s the album’s lead single “Down Home,” Allen’s fourth career No. 1 song.

Co-written by Allen, Jason Evigan, Gian Stone and Castle, “Be Alright” is a breezy track, filled to the brim with an inspirational spirit that fans have come to know from Allen’s music. Often sharing inspirational quotes and stories on social media, Allen weaves a throughline of encouragement and perseverance through the song to provide comfort and hope to anyone listening.
