nugs.net and Drive Entertainment Group host webcast to benefit Feeding America

John & Aimee Oates, nugs.net, and Drive Entertainment Group are executing a webcast on March 20th to raise funds for Feeding America. Saxsquatch, the smooth saxophone internet sensation will be co-hosting the one-night-only event with Oates.

“Working with nugs.net on this project has been an amazing experience. We’ve had a lot of fun and we think we’re putting together a really special show for the viewers at home, with a diverse collection of musical styles. Most importantly, we hope this free streaming benefit will create even more awareness about how critical the food insecurity situation in America really is,” comments Oates.

“We estimate approximately 50 million people could face food insecurity due to the ongoing economic fallout from COVID-19 and recovery will be long,” states Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot. “We are deeply grateful to John & Aimee Oates and all of the participants of Oates Song Fest 7908 for helping to raise awareness and funds to continue our support for our neighbors in need.”

Drive Entertainment Group pulled together a powerhouse lineup for the event, which includes such artists and celebrities as Andrew Zimmern, Angie Harmon, Big Kenny, Bob Weir & Wolf Bros, Dan + Shay, Darius Rucker, Daryl Hall, Dave Grohl, Gavin DeGraw, Hayley Orrantia, Infinity Song, Jewel, Jim James, Jim Lauderdale, John Oates, Keb’ Mo’, Kevin Cronin, Louis York, Malina Moye, Margo Rey, Matt Nathanson, Michael Franti, Michael McDonald, Mike Wolf, Monica, Quinn Sullivan, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, Sara Bareilles, Saxsquatch, Shawn Colvin, Sheila E., The Professor, Tichina Arnold.

In anticipation for the show, on March 13th at 8 pm ET, nugs.net will also stream an exclusive, one-on-one interview with GRAMMY Award winning, super producer Dave Cobb from the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville where he works. Oates will be talking to Cobb about his musical influences and how he records with incredible legendary and award-winning artists to help them realize and record their songs.

During the broadcast of Oates Song Fest and his interview with Cobb, viewers will be able to donate to Feeding America via a unique on-screen QR code and at feedingamerica.org/oatesfest.
