The Yes co-founder will hit the road for 11 dates this weekend
To celebrate the start of the second leg of their 2025 North America tour, Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks are premiering the lyric video for “Once Upon A Dream.” The 16-and-a-half-minute epic was the centerpiece track on the 2024 album True, and will be performed nightly on the upcoming dates. The video was directed by Wayne Joyner.
Since the release of the album, the group released the 2 CD/DVD live album, Perpetual Change, capturing their 2023 tour. The package was also released as a stand-alone Blu-ray.
Despite confusion, leg two of the tour begins this Sunday, June 15th, at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC, and ends July 13th at the Factory in St. Louis, Missouri.
Last month, Anderson released a statement after a false report circulated claiming the second leg was canceled. According to Anderson’s manager, Larry Mazer, Anderson is in good health, and all scheduled dates will proceed as planned.
Anderson co-founded Yes in 1968 with bassist Chris Squire. He was a primary creative force behind many of Yes’s epic and complex pieces like “Close to the Edge,” “Awaken,” and “The Gates of Delirium.” He had several tenures with the band between 1968 and 2008.
Beyond Yes, Anderson has had an extensive solo career, releasing numerous albums like his debut Olias of Sunhillow in 1976. He is also well-known for his collaborations, particularly with Greek synthesizer composer Vangelis, as the duo Jon & Vangelis. He has also worked with other notable artists such as King Crimson, Toto, Mike Oldfield, and Rick Wakeman.
